    Project Details

Amidst the serene shores of Magouëro beach in Plouhinec, Brittany, France, lies a hidden danger – remnants of World War II landmines and unexploded ordnance. To safeguard public safety and preserve the historical significance of the coastline, the French Navy, in collaboration with technology leader Septentrio, initiated a landmine clearance project. Leveraging advanced GNSS and smart antennas, the project aimed to precisely locate and safely dispose of nearly 300 hazardous objects buried beneath the sand. Through meticulous site surveys and strategic coordination, the project not only mitigated risks posed by these remnants of conflict but also ensured the tranquil beaches remained accessible to visitors.
