    Project Details

Bangladesh heavily relies on agriculture, which occupies more than 70% of the country's land and employs nearly half of its population. Accurate information regarding surface water storage is fundamental to effective planning and facilitates both water resource management and food security. The Bangladesh government lacked precise data on water levels in lakes and wetlands. To address this issue, a project was initiated to quantify the total volume of water stored in these water bodies in Bangladesh.
