    Project Details

The City of Liège undertook a significant project to integrate its spatial data into a centralized Geographic Information System (GIS) to improve urban management. The Urban Department, responsible for a wide range of city services, recognized the need for a unified Cartography Cell to manage, coordinate, and enhance the production and dissemination of mapping data. This GIS initiative centralized data from various sources, including land parcels, street and address databases, and other spatial data relevant to urban planning, infrastructure, and public services. The project aimed to streamline the city's data management processes, reduce redundancy, and improve access to critical information for municipal officers, enabling better decision-making and efficient urban management.
