Nearly eight million people receive clean drinking water from Severn Trent, one of Britain's largest water companies, on a daily basis. Operating throughout the Midlands and extending into North and Mid-Wales from the outskirts of Sheffield, Bristol, and the south, the company serves a significant area. Severn Trent recognized an opportunity to enhance location data accuracy and efficiency by leveraging GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) technology. This decision followed a transition to internal surveying of As Laid drawings and outsourcing main laying to smaller contractors.
