The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) of the UAE, tasked with compiling and disseminating comprehensive statistical data, embarked on a transformative journey to streamline data access and visualization. With over a million records spanning various sectors, FCSC sought to create a centralized platform, leveraging ArcGIS technology, to enhance data understanding and accessibility. Collaborating with Khatib & Alami (K&A), an Esri Platinum partner, FCSC initiated the development of the 1Map Platform, aimed at providing users and authorities with intuitive access to statistical indicators and spatial data. Over an eight-month period, a two-phase development process focused on data cleansing, unification, and migration, alongside restructuring the enterprise spatial database engine (SDE) to align with FCSC's needs.
