Natural Resources Wales with support from ARUP and Storm Geomatics, led a project aiming to enhance flood resilience in the region. Utilizing advanced geospatial technologies such as drones and hydrographic mapping, the project surveys the River Rhondda to fortify flood defenses. Despite challenges like difficult river conditions and access limitations, the project employs innovative solutions for data collection and analysis. By integrating these technologies, the project seeks to mitigate flood risks and build long-term community resilience against environmental threats.
