    Project Details

Sunshine Coast Airport (SCA) stands as a prominent regional hub within Queensland, nestled in a vibrant locale approximately 90 km north of Brisbane. Renowned for its rapid expansion, the airport is poised to welcome an estimated 1.5 million passengers during the 2022/23 period, solidifying its status as one of Australia's fastest-growing aviation hubs. Servicing a network of 16 destinations spanning from Adelaide to Whitsunday Coast, Sunshine Coast Airport serves as a pivotal link for travelers across the region. SCA, in collaboration with Rede Project Consulting, entrusted AAM with the task of conducting a comprehensive feature and level survey, 3D laser scanning, and BIM of the airport premises. to capture intricate as-built details of the bustling airport environment. Despite challenges like navigating stringent safety protocols and minimizing disruptions to ongoing airport operations, meticulous planning and flexible strategies ensured seamless execution. The resulting spatial data not only facilitated informed decision-making for the airport's expansion plans but also optimized resource allocation and enhanced overall project efficiency.
