    Project Details

Amidst the complex humanitarian crisis stemming from the Syrian civil war, millions of displaced individuals found refuge in overcrowded camps, facing dire living conditions and scarce resources. Addressing the challenges of assessing and managing these camps, a collaborative effort between Maxar Technologies, Land Info Worldwide Mapping, and UNOSAT leveraged cutting-edge geospatial technologies. By harnessing high-definition satellite imagery and advanced analysis techniques, the project aimed to accurately map refugee camps, estimate population numbers, and assess infrastructure needs. This initiative not only enabled more efficient relief operations but also underscored the vital role of geospatial solutions in optimizing humanitarian responses to crises.
