    Project Details

The Nebraska Forest Service (NFS), faced with vast expanses of forested and grassland areas, aimed to streamline forest health monitoring through satellite-based imagery. NFS collaborated with EOS Data Analytics to adopt the EOSDA LandViewer platform, enabling the team to monitor vegetation health, assess canopy coverage, and detect issues like pest infestations and fire risks across 1.1 million acres. Led by Conservation Forester and GIS specialist Kun-Yuan Lee, the team employed EOSDA’s automated data processing and vegetation assessment tools, achieving improved accuracy and efficiency in monitoring forest conditions. EOSDA LandViewer provided NFS with enhanced imagery and vegetation indices, allowing them to identify at-risk areas with precision and expedite reporting, cutting down analysis time by 30% and increasing data accuracy by 40%.
