    Project Details

North Central Texas Emergency Communications District (NCT9-1-1) implemented a state-of-the-art GIS, Earth Observation (Satellite and drone) based solution to address the challenges of rapidly updating maps for emergency services across a 13-county area in Texas. This area, which includes the fast-growing Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, experiences exponential residential and commercial growth. The project aimed to provide real-time, high-resolution imagery for updating maps, aiding 9-1-1 dispatchers, and improving response accuracy. By integrating satellite imagery, drone mapping, and GIS data, the system enables dispatchers to guide first responders accurately to new subdivisions, evolving construction zones, and high-density areas. Additionally, drones inspect microwave towers for network resilience, ensuring uninterrupted communication during emergencies.
