Natural Resources Wales commissioned a comprehensive flood risk assessment for the village of Tregaron, a community frequently affected by flooding. The project aimed to enhance the understanding of flood risks within the catchment area by capturing up-to-date geospatial data of three converging rivers. Storm Geomatics, leveraging 12 years of expertise, deployed a team of DEFRA-trained surveyors using Trimble GNSS and Total Station equipment. The collected data was processed with GeoRiver® software, providing detailed model files for Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow, and Hec-Ras. This initiative supports sustainable flood management and community resilience by integrating precise geospatial technologies.
