The Walloon Water Company (Société Wallonne des Eaux - SWDE) undertook a comprehensive project to replace its outdated CAD and GIS systems with a modern, industry-focused Geographic Information System (GIS). This transformation was aimed at improving the management, maintenance, and update of their vast water distribution network, which serves over 2.4 million people across the Walloon region of Belgium. The project included the implementation of the 1Spatial Elyx software suite, data migration, the development of various interfaces, and the deployment of web and mobile GIS solutions for enhanced field operations.
