    Project Details

In 2019, devastating flooding along the Missouri River in Nebraska caused $3.4 billion in damages, followed by another significant runoff year in 2020. The Missouri River, passing through these states, is monitored by numerous levees managed by the USACE Omaha District, protecting critical military and utility infrastructure, communities, and natural resources. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) recognized the urgent need for comprehensive data to understand flood damage and mitigate future risks to communities, utilities, farmland, and infrastructure across Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri.
