Empowering Hikers with New Maps and Data in Greenland

Source: Visit Greenland
Greenland, the world's largest island, is renowned for its stunning yet challenging terrain, making it a prime destination for hikers. However, navigating this rugged landscape is not without risks due to its difficult terrain, vast distances, significant elevation changes, and unpredictable weather. To enhance safety and promote interest in hiking in Greenland, the Committee for Hiking in Greenland (UVG) initiated a project to create new and improved hiking maps based on recently completed comprehensive mapping of Greenland. This monumental effort provided a wealth of geographical data that would prove invaluable for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts and is freely accessible to the public.
