Repurposing quarries as landfills is a common solution to repurpose disused sites, but it requires meticulous monitoring for regulatory compliance and safety. Earth Grid, in collaboration with Glencar Construction, was tasked with surveying a vast 327-acre quarry in the UK that had been repurposed as a landfill. The objective was to accurately monitor the site's progress and capacity while minimizing costs and time spent on inspections.
