TruePoint Laser Scanning was engaged to scan the interior of a scrap room within a busy sheet metal stamping facility. The project aimed to capture the detailed structural features of the room, including walls, floor elevations, ceiling heights, columns, beams, and an overhead crane support structure. Operating within an active facility posed significant challenges, particularly because conventional measurement methods would have required the use of man-lifts, which were impractical due to the presence of operating conveyors and other machinery.
