    Project Details

The Union Carbide and Carbon Building, an iconic high-rise in Chicago, underwent a comprehensive inspection facilitated by drone technology and PIX4Dinspect software. Helios Visions, a leading technology company specializing in infrastructure inspections via drones, was commissioned to conduct the assessment. Standing at 503 feet tall with 37 stories, the building's historic significance and architectural complexity warranted a detailed examination of its facade for maintenance needs. Helios Visions deployed a DJI M300 drone equipped with a high-resolution P1 camera to capture georeferenced imagery of the entire building in just one day. Subsequently, the collected data was processed using PIX4Dinspect to create a digital twin of the building's facades.
