    Project Details

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Spanish Directorate General for Cadastre (DGC) accelerated its digital transformation strategy to minimise face-to-face interaction while maintaining uninterrupted public services. Building on its ongoing customer service modernisation plan, the DGC introduced a suite of remote interaction tools and online platforms that allowed citizens and administrators to perform cadastral transactions securely and efficiently from their homes. The initiative ensured that during lockdown and restricted mobility, citizens could still make property declarations, request certificates, and obtain assistance through telephone, videoconference, and digital channels. This comprehensive adaptation not only safeguarded public health but also redefined how cadastral services could operate in a hybrid, post-pandemic environment.
