    Project Details

The Landfolio/OAS e-Government project aimed to revolutionize land management in Antigua and Barbuda by integrating land registry, cadastre, and property tax systems into a unified, GIS-driven platform. By modernizing the management of 57,000 land parcels in Antigua and several in Barbuda, the project laid the groundwork for improved real estate trade, investment, and governance.

The initiative utilized Spatial Dimensions, Landfolio platform (formerly part of Trimble) to streamline parcel mapping, land titling, property taxation, and transaction systems. Leveraging GIS infrastructure and high-accuracy digital orthophotos, the project created topologically structured maps that enable advanced database analyses. The integrated system improved the accuracy of property ownership records, reduced transaction registration times to under two days, and provided citizens and investors with transparent access to land-related information via a web portal. This modernization not only enhanced land management but also fostered foreign investment and boosted government revenues through better fee collection processes.
