    Project Details

Shanghai Survey, Design and Research Institute Co. Ltd. (SIDRI) constructed an offshore wind farm for China Three Gorges New Energy and Dalian Power Generation in the Bohai Sea, off the coast of Zhuanghe in Dalian, Liaoning. Featuring 72 wind turbines generating 300 megawatts and a booster station, the facility aimed to power 450,000 households annually while reducing emissions equivalent to 6,000 tons of sulfur dioxide and 637,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year. Challenges included navigating complex seabed terrain and mitigating the threat of ice floes damaging turbines, requiring innovative design solutions within budget and time constraints.
