    Project Details

The City of Rotterdam has a vision of becoming a Smart City, where ICT and IoT are combined in a secure manner to manage the city’s assets and enhance the quality of life for its residents. The primary objective of ‘Digital City Rotterdam’ was to enhance the efficiency of urban planning and management. Simultaneously, the city council sought applications that would help individuals integrate the digital world into their real one. To realize this vision, Avineon was tasked with developing a textured 3D model of over 200,000 buildings in the city of Rotterdam and several landmark bridges, in compliance with a data model (CityGML 2.0) that adhered to SIG3D guidelines.
