Denmark's expansion of offshore wind energy includes the development of the world's first two energy islands, with one major installation planned in the wind-rich North Sea. Energinet, acting on behalf of the Danish Energy Agency, is responsible for conducting site investigations to prepare for the North Sea Energy Island and associated offshore wind farms. A critical component of these preparations is a metocean study, which will assess site conditions and inform the design of the energy island.
