The Department of Lands and Surveys (DLS) in Cyprus developed the DLS-Portal, a pioneering online geospatial platform that has become the country’s largest electronic library of cadastral and descriptive data. The platform integrates four key components: a Citizen Portal, an electronic application and tracking system, interactive maps with multiple GIS layers, and an INSPIRE-compliant Geoportal. Through these, citizens and businesses can submit and track applications, access and download maps, explore data layers interactively, and subscribe to services. The portal consolidates geospatial information from multiple government departments, reduces bureaucratic procedures, and aligns with European directives on open data and interoperability.
