    Project Details

L’Avion Jaune, in collaboration with Ginger CEBTP, undertook a crucial project to assess rockfall hazards along a vulnerable road network. Mandated by the Departmental Council, the project aimed to mitigate risks posed by limestone cliff degradation, which leads to landslides and block falls. These natural phenomena posed a significant threat to road users due to the potential for large-scale material mobilization.

The study focused on creating a detailed 3D model of the cliffs to enable trajectographic analysis. This simulation modeled the trajectory of falling rock masses from the peaks to the valley floor, aiding in the evaluation of risk levels and optimizing the design and placement of rockfall barriers. Spanning a site that was 200 meters high, 300 meters wide, and 2.5 kilometers long, the project required advanced surveying techniques to overcome terrain challenges and dense vegetation.
