A Fortune 500 chemical company engaged TruePoint to provide 3D scanning services for a production facility manufacturing highly specialized chemical products. The project scope included an as-built survey of three buildings, mezzanines, and exterior pipe runs, encompassing approximately 42,500 square feet of dense manufacturing space filled with tanks, piping, and equipment. The objective was to capture detailed data of the structure, piping, and equipment, providing colorized point cloud data and 3D models of several key pieces of equipment.
