TruePoint Laser Scanning was commissioned to create an accurate 3D model of a mechanical room within a transmitter facility in Jacksonville, Florida. The mechanical room, measuring approximately 60 feet by 80 feet, housed critical MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) equipment along with exterior structural elements. Due to potential FCC mandates requiring stations to change transmission frequencies, it was essential for the client to have precise measurements of the existing space and equipment. The scanning task aimed to capture the entire interior structure, MEP systems, and exterior walls without disrupting the sensitive operations within the facility.
