    Project Details

Toledo’s Water Treatment Facility, originally built in 1941, has experienced numerous additions and upgrades over the decades. To support ongoing and future improvements, TruePoint Laser Scanning was tasked with capturing the sub-level of a 120 MGD treatment area. This involved documenting all structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing features, including pipes as small as ½ inch in diameter. TruePoint's precise laser scanning process aimed to create accurate as-built drawings, providing a detailed and reliable reference for current and future projects. Over several weeks, one technician completed hundreds of individual scans, capturing more than 4.25 billion data points, and generating nearly 38 GB of point cloud data.
