TruePoint was engaged by a general contractor to perform high-definition 3D laser scanning and capture 360° 3D color photographs, or TruViews, of a city block in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The area covered approximately 6.5 acres and included various elements such as exterior building facades, parking lots, sidewalks, and curbs. The purpose of this project was to document the existing site conditions prior to the commencement of construction and pile driving operations. The scanning provided a precise record of the current state of all relevant structures and surfaces. This comprehensive documentation serves as a vital reference to address any potential property damage claims during or after construction. The captured data was processed to generate TruViews, which offer a 360° interactive view of the site.
