    Project Details

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is leading a digitalization initiative to optimize operations and reduce costs across its extensive offshore oil infrastructure, comprising 200 oil rigs and 18 floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) platforms. The CNOOC Energy Development Design and R&D Center is spearheading the effort to implement digital twin management for critical infrastructure and processes. The initiative aims to enhance oil field system services, maintenance, and design processes through digital management of big data. A pilot project for an FPSO facility in the South China Sea focuses on creating a digital twin to integrate indoor and outdoor data, demonstrating the feasibility of remote digital management.
