    Project Details

The Calibration Centre of Geodesy (CCG), established by the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Authority of the Slovak Republic (UGKK SR), is a national-level initiative to unify and modernise all calibration activities critical to precision land surveying. The heart of this effort is a new calibration baseline, constructed between 2020 and 2023, consisting of seven reference pillars spread across a total length of 606 metres. By providing a controlled, traceable standard, the baseline allows professional surveyors to calibrate and verify EDM instruments against high-precision reference measurements. In 2024, the baseline becomes operational alongside a dedicated web application to manage calibration data and certificates. Future plans include extending the baseline to accommodate GNSS calibration, ensuring that Slovakia’s surveying sector meets the highest international standards.
