    Project Details

Registers of Scotland (RoS) is developing a modern, scalable mapping platform to transform the nation’s land registration and cadastral management systems. The initiative focuses on creating a Cadastral Map, a central spatial data infrastructure that integrates 1.9 million registered titles and over 10 million individual data entities into a unified digital framework. By adopting open standards and the internationally recognised LADM ISO 19152, the project ensures consistency, interoperability, and long-term data stewardship. The new platform enables the Scottish government, land professionals, and the public to easily access accurate spatial information, answer ownership-related questions such as “Who owns Scotland?”, and support data-driven decision-making for the next four centuries.
