Slovenia is establishing a comprehensive Building Land Record to provide precise information on built-up and undeveloped land, along with their development stages. Initiated in April 2021, the first phase focused on collecting data on inhabited land and its actual use, which is now freely available via the National Spatial Information System. The next phase will integrate this data with road and railway infrastructure, creating a unified record that supports spatial planning, municipal decision-making, land valuation, and investment insights. This record will serve as a critical foundation for implementing land policy measures, managing public interest, and ensuring affordable and sustainable land use.
