    Project Details

The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) embarked on a transformative initiative to establish a unified parcel fabric for all titled and surveyed Crown land parcels in British Columbia (BC), Canada. The objective was to create a spatially accurate, comprehensive, and sustainable parcel database accessible to stakeholders via an electronic map interface.

Partnering with MNC Ltd., a geomatics engineering firm, the LTSA collected over 2,600 cadastral ties from field surveys and integrated them into BC’s parcel database. The project also included developing an automated solution for digital survey plan submission, streamlining operational maintenance and improving data accuracy.

This effort resulted in the creation of a complete parcel fabric with a consistent known level of accuracy. The database, now actively maintained, supports economic development and provides LTSA customers with an intuitive map-based interface for accessing land title and survey data. The digital transformation has significantly enhanced operational efficiency, stakeholder accessibility, and spatial data integrity.
