    Project Details

Ventus-Tech, based in Hungary, embarked on a groundbreaking project to establish a baseline for the restoration of the iconic Chain Bridge, a national symbol of innovation. The project aimed to record the bridge’s current state using advanced sensor technologies, creating a detailed digital model that could be compared against a final scan after restoration. This initiative also served to demonstrate the capabilities of modern survey equipment and raise awareness of BIM-related solutions, providing a workflow model tailored for construction companies.

The comprehensive survey included capturing the bridge’s top, side, and underside views using an array of cutting-edge tools. LiDAR, RGB cameras, ground-based laser scanners, and multibeam sonar were deployed to ensure all structural aspects were documented, from the bridge deck to the riverbed below. Data collected was optimized for seamless integration into BIM systems, enabling precise monitoring and informed decision-making throughout the restoration process.
