    Project Details

The Ayeyarwady Integrated River Basin Management (AIRBM) Project, funded by the World Bank, is a crucial initiative to support Myanmar's economic development by enhancing the management of its abundant water resources. Given the river's significance to millions of people for livelihoods, trade, and agriculture, the project recognizes the need for sustainable practices. Focused on the Ayeyarwady River, the country's largest river and primary commercial waterway, the project aims to establish institutions and tools for informed decision-making in water resource management.
