    Project Details

    GeoAerospace, leveraging their expertise in remote sensing, executed a groundbreaking forestry management project on Ireland's west coast. This endeavour involved capturing high-quality airborne LiDAR data across several mountainous and densely forested sites, each spanning approximately 300 hectares. The project aimed to generate precise terrain models for hydrological analysis, enabling the mapping and quantification of river channels hidden beneath dense canopy cover.

    Drone surveys, equipped with LiDAR system, were deployed to overcome the rugged, remote terrain and challenging weather conditions. The collected data supported the creation of Digital Surface Models (DSM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and additional maps for slope, aspect, and hydrology, streamlining forestry inventory processes and offering client-specific deliverables.
