    Project Details

The Sakhalin-2 Oil & Gas Right-of-Way Restoration Project exemplifies innovative utilization of geospatial technologies in energy infrastructure. Spanning Sakhalin Island in Russia, this project aimed to restore and monitor the 800 km TransSakhalin pipeline's right-of-way, navigating rugged terrain and severe natural conditions. Leveraging advanced solutions such as Maxar Technologies' WorldView-2 satellite imagery and geospatial analysis tools like ENVI software, the project overcame challenges of limited access and narrow areas of interest. This comprehensive approach ensured accurate assessment of restoration efforts and facilitated continuous monitoring essential for environmental compliance and sustainable development. Through the integration of geospatial technologies and environmental stewardship, the Sakhalin-2 project signifies a shift towards efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious oil and gas infrastructure management.
