Advancing Bridge Maintenance Using GPR and Advanced Geospatial Software Solutions

Sineco S.p.A collaborated with IDS GeoRadar to assess the condition of the Rio Vizzana Viaduct bridge deck using GPR. Through the strategic application of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, specifically GPR, the project aimed to ensure the structural integrity of the bridge while minimizing disruption to traffic flow. By leveraging advanced software solutions and automated data processing algorithms, Sineco S.p.A provided rapid, accurate, and non-destructive evaluations of the bridge's condition. This approach not only facilitated proactive maintenance interventions but also yielded substantial cost and time savings, setting a new standard for infrastructure maintenance and asset management.
