TruePoint was tasked with providing 3D laser scanning services for an engineering firm in California to aid in the expansion of an existing water treatment plant. The firm required accurate field conditions in the form of raw point cloud data to create new construction layouts. Given the absence of any existing drawings for the plant, the engineering firm needed exact dimensions to plan modifications and fabricate pipes for the plant expansion.
