The project involved scanning three main tanks of a water purification system to capture detailed information on their exact sizes, locations, and associated structural and MEP features. The facility was expanding to increase its water purification capacity, requiring engineers to understand the existing system design and fit within the current space to determine the best installation approach for the new systems. TruePoint's 3D laser scanning technology provided highly accurate measurements of the congested and complex space, including the tall units that were challenging to measure using traditional techniques.
