    Project Details

TruePoint provided terrestrial-based 3D laser scanning services to capture the existing conditions of a 25' x 25' x 30' oil tank near Topeka, Kansas. The project aimed to document the precise dimensions and conditions of the tank, including piping, flanges, nozzles, structural steel, pipe supports, and grade. The client required this detailed documentation to facilitate the removal and replacement of the oil tank, ensuring the new design would accurately fit the existing conditions and prevent costly delays or rework. In less than five hours on-site, TruePoint’s laser scan technician captured comprehensive as-built conditions, providing the necessary data for the client's design model.
