TruePoint’s 3D laser scanning services were employed in Denver, Colorado, to capture the dimensions of an existing building façade for a new apartment complex. The objective was to facilitate the installation of prefabricated panelling by providing accurate as-built measurements swiftly. Using the Leica P20 laser scanner, TruePoint’s team captured detailed 3D measurements of the façade within a few hours on site. This data was crucial for creating precise 2D CAD drawings, which significantly streamlined the prefabrication process and ensured a perfect fit for the panelling. By adopting laser scanning technology, the project avoided the delays and potential inaccuracies associated with traditional measurement methods.
