TruePoint 3D laser scanned a historic library in Amherst, Massachusetts, to create an LOD 300 Revit model for the architect. This comprehensive scan covered both the interior and exterior of the 47,000 sq. ft. library, which has four levels. Key features captured included basic structural elements, such as exposed columns and beams, along with architectural details and lighting and plumbing fixtures. The goal was to provide updated floor plans and a 3D model to facilitate the renovation while preserving the library’s historic integrity.
