    Project Details

In Laconia, New Hampshire, the American Indian head sculpture, a 1984 wood carving by Peter Toth and part of the Whispering Giants series, faced significant degradation due to decades of exposure to the elements. To preserve the cultural and historical significance of this 30-foot-tall statue, TruePoint Laser Scanning was commissioned to create an accurate digital representation using 3D laser scanning. The objective was to generate a 3DSMAX mesh model that could be used to produce an exact replica of the sculpture through 3D printing. This initiative aimed to save the statue for future generations while addressing its current state of decay.
