    Project Details

TruePoint was commissioned to map the existing locations and conditions of underground utility tunnels, built in the early to mid-1900s, to chart the utilities' locations and document the tunnels' elevations, slopes, and structural features. Given the age and undocumented nature of these tunnels, manual mapping was infeasible due to the complex and hazardous conditions. TruePoint utilized 3D laser scanning technology to capture comprehensive data on the tunnels, converting this data into a layered 3D CAD model. This model allowed for detailed analysis by enabling users to toggle off layers such as walls, providing clear views of pipes and other utilities.
