Delhi Jal Board sanctioned the Chandrawal Water Treatment Plant in 2019 to provide citizens with clean and safe drinking 24/7 water supply. The project consists of rehabilitating existing components of the plant as well as construction of a new capacity. This project was critical since Chandrawal area of New Delhi is a water-scarce region. The Drinking Water Treatment Plant in Chandrawal now offers a capacity of 477 MLD and incorporates advanced Ozonation and Activated Carbon technology.
