Coillte Cuideachta Ghníomhaíochta Ainmnithe

Coillte is Ireland’s semi-state forestry company, responsible for managing approximately 440,000 hectares of forested land—around 7% of the country’s land area. It took over the forestry operations previously managed by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Its mission is to manage state forests on behalf of the Irish people, balancing environmental, social, and economic benefits. Coillte operates across three main divisions: Forestry, Land Solutions, and Medite Smartply (wood panel manufacturing). It is also a major enabler of wind energy and biodiversity restoration projects.
